Arashi no Shukudai-kun #038

Monday, September 16, 2013

Aired On: June 25th, 2007

Aaand today, I continue my Shukudai-kun project! It's a good time to continue, really, since I haven't been watching Arashi in awhile, and I need a dose of them in my life. Their shows are now mostly uploaded on Mega, which I can't use, so I haven't been stalking for new episodes as I used to. I can no longer watch live streaming, either - the links I used to use no longer work (;_;). That, plus the fact that majority of my friends are now off the fandom, meant that I didn't have much to keep me in it. I still miss watching their shows, though!

The guests this episode is the comedy duo Penalty, consisting of Hide and Wakky.  When they came out of the box, they noticed that the set was devoid of the usual sofas. Sho explained that because they were known for their physical strength, they thought they'd use the show to highlight that XD. (Does this mean Baka Undokai? Yaaay!!)

Penalty's homework for the audience: find and report on unusual stamina foods that make you strong. They explained that they wanted food to help beat summer fatigue. So Aiba introduced the first food item, which is a prime rib. It looked very juicy, but really I can't deal with so much meat. (I'm such a picky eater) The second item introduced is an unagi don served in "Italian fashion". It has lots of cheese, it seems, and I don't know... from my experiences eating at Sushi King, I don't think I like cheese on stuff like eel or fish (>_<). But they said it was yummy! Next, Aiba introduced the third food - ostrich egg. Which they drank raw. Umm... no. I just can't. I'm not into any of the food in this episode, I'm afraid. But then they introduced ochazuke - except that instead of using normal ocha, it's a different kind of tea - which apparently tasted pretty bad. Except when Ohno ate it, because Ohno could eat anything, lol.

After that... ahahaha. It was the "image" corner and one of the images sent in from the audience is that Penalty were stopped by children and asked to do gags, which was when they started showing some of their gags, including their new one, the "happy frog". YES - the introduction of the "happy frog"! :D The audience enjoyed it, so they asked one of Arashi to do the gag, picking on MatsuJun. It was priceless :D :D

The image section was followed with Baka Undokai (yay!), in which they did the depth binoculars game, which was on by Penalty, and the NTV Scavenger Hunt (one of my favourite games!) Only four of them are in the hunt:

Nino had to look for - two people in suits who will do Wakky's "Ghost's ambulance", which is one of the gags introduced earlier. He approached the first man he saw wearing a suit, but was quickly rejected. He then went into an office area, where he met someone he knew - who was in a suit. So he went to the guy (Sugamo-san) and asked him to do the gag.

Ohno had to look for - staff working with MatsuJun on Bambino! (the drama he was in at the time) who would share surprising sides of him. He set off for Bambino!'s staff room, but had difficulty looking for it. But he persevered and finally found it, instantly asking the staff for three surprising sides of MatsuJun. One of them told him that MatsuJun got really cranky in the mornings. Ohno just nodded and said, "oh, I know", haha.

Hide had to look for - NTV program character goods. (So easy! NTV shop...) He basically just ran around looking for them.

Wakky had to look for - three photos of NTV female announcers making weird faces. He went to the announcers' department and explained what he needed.

(Can I just take a moment to appreciate Shukudai-kun staff's awesome music taste? I mean, they had The Pipettes on their opening, and during the scavenger hunt they played Rancid's Time Bomb. Love!)

Hide-san was the first to arrive back at Shukudai-kun's studio, followed by Nino, and Wakky. Hide-san brought back a Conan plushie, and a cute Nittere-chin, the mascot for NTV. (I guess this was before Da Bear?) Then it was Nino's turn, and true enough, the two suited men he brought back with him (including Sugamo-san) did Wakky's Ghost ambulance gag. Next is Wakky-san's turn. Penalty would win the game if he got the three pictures - and he did! So Team Penalty wins the game!

It was only after all this that Ohno returned with his task of finding three surprising things about MatsuJun. (1) He's cranky in the morning; when he takes off his hat, he looks like a peacock. XDD (2) He hates losing; he had a race with a staff member to see who'd finish a Rubik's cube faster. (3) He remembers all the staff's names. Ohno then relayed Jun's new drama schedule to him from Bambino's assistant producer, which made everyone laugh.

Loved this ep <3

The first episode of Aiba's own show! I guess this means that Aiba's in two variety shows without Arashi, huh. This one should prove interesting to fans as it aims to explore Japanese culture. In this first episode, we learn about Japanese food.

Continuing my re-watch! At the gathering I was transferring some of my Mago Mago files to Fatin's pendrive, and I thought of how there are a lot of episodes I've yet to watch, which made me think, I should start on a Mago Mago watching project!, which reminded me that I have yet to continue my Shukudai-kun re-watch. ^^; So, continuing, after so long.

Arashi ni Shiyagare! #042

Sunday, August 5, 2012

Aired On: April 30th, 2011

When guessing who the guest might be, Aiba reminded the rest of Arashi that they had talked about it before, and had decided that it was about time for Matsu-nii (Matsuoka Masahiro, TOKIO) to appear. Sho agreed, saying that it's because Matsu-nii's drama (High School Restaurant) has started, so he would probably appear to do promotions. Nino commented that if he didn't come (that day), he probably wouldn't come at all.  Jun said that he thought that Matsu-nii really was coming that day. They all turned out to be right - both the audience and Arashi were really excited, and Sho and Nino claimed, "finally!" Since all of them kept expecting Matsu-nii to appear on their show sooner or later, and Matsu-nii haven't - until then.

I just reminded myself that I haven't continued my Shukudai-kun re-watch, again. This episode's guests are the comedy duo Ungirl. Their food request was for delicious and unusual tsukemen. They said it's because they have it all the time, and they wanted to try other kinds. They got sidetracked, though, because they mentioned that they were from Hiroshima and Yamane ended up doing impressions of baseball players ^^;

Aired On: June 4th, 2007

OMG, I just realised that the last time I did my Shukudai-kun re-watch was in February last year. Since I still kept to my promise of not watching Shukudai-kun out of sequence until I'm done, this means that I haven't actually watched Shukudai-kun since then! (*_*) So I think it's about time I continue (^^;;

The guest for episode #35 is singer/actress Katase Nana. She came to promote her film Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai, which is about a couple who could communicate telepathically. Since it's a slow love story, the conversation started along that theme, but as usual, the subject soon turned into food - as her homework for the audience is to find delicious and unusual yam dishes.

Ans-035-01Sho-kun wanted to know what slow love meant, and Aiba helped ^^;

Aired On: March 19th, 2011

I haven't actually watched this episode in full, until AnM released their subs today ^^; Well, when it was aired, I was busy with the charity fics, and only watched short clips from the variety shows. (Which is actually more than what I do now :p) Anyway, the guest in this episode is Sato Ryuta! I only remember seeing him in Bambino! and Kisarazu Cat's Eye, but I do like him a lot. For the omiyage, he brought strawberry daifukus, which looked so yummy... *gets hungry*

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #034

Aired On: May 28th, 2007

The guest in this episode is Suzuki Anne - Ogura-san was really excited to find out that it's an actress. Since she had acted with both Nino and Jun before, Sho asked about her impressions of them. She said that Nino seemed like the type who doesn't think of anything, in the sense that he follows his intuition. Jun, on the other hand, seemed to emit a "hard" aura, like he wants to tell people to stay away. She added that at times he's also really nice, to which Sho commented, "he's the tsundere type, isn't he?" and she immediately agreed.

Aired On: January 27th, 2011

I've only seen the mannequin five of this episode before, so it's the first time I'm watching the full version. The guest is Yoshitaka Yuriko, who acts with Nino in GANTZ - I love her! I would ship her with any of the members, really, but especially Ohno after watching this episode. But first - Sho-kun. Because he's the most unsold mannequin, he went shopping and clothes coordinating with VERBAL-san before the show, and came to the show wearing this "machupichu" get-up. It's hilarious!

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #033

Monday, July 11, 2011

Aired On: May 21st, 2007

The guest this time is TOKIO's Kokubun Taichi! To tell the truth, the first thing I thought when watching this again is, "wow, he looked so young...", haha. ^^;; I always love it when any of the JE senpais or kouhais appear on Arashi's shows, despite not really being a JE fan in general (I only really like Arashi). This is because their interactions with other Johnnys are always amusing to watch, I suppose.

Anyway, Kokubun Taichi's request for the audience is to find different kinds of salads from all over the world. I was so relieved with this request, really - vegetables should be safe, right. Right? Not that it's not interesting to see them eat weird food, but as an animal lover, some of the episodes were just painful to watch. (I'm still a bit traumatised from the sparrow.) These salads were introduced by women from the respective countries - the first being from Belarus, a salad made of beets. Next is a Bulgarian salad served with Sirene, a cheese that was marinated in saltwater. I'd like to try this someday! Then, Paumid salad from Costa Rica, made from the core of palm trees. I didn't even know that they could be eaten. I love Kokubun's reaction - "kore wa zenzen oishii desu ne!" I suppose the usage of zenzen+something positive wasn't so all over the place back then since it still jarred to Jun and was highlighted in the tv text. Although I seem to remember everyone speaking that way back then. I know this is completely off-topic, but this really brings back memories.

Vs. Arashi! #129

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Aired On: March 3rd, 2011

This is the "Taisetsu na koto wa subete kimi ga oshiete kureta" Team episode, but I really think of this as the "Haruma Miura episode." ^^ apparently Haruma Miura is a big fan of VsA and was excited about being on the show. as a result, he got to choose his favourite games for the show. Arashi's "Plus One" guest is the comedy duo Football Hour.

The first game is Pinball Runner, where Miura-kun runs with Erika Toda leading the support team. He got both the pink balls and finished with 180 points. Oh-chan's the runner for Team Arashi. Since Miura-kun announced that he wanted to get 300 points earlier, Ohno said that he's aiming for 700 points. He managed to get... 80 points. He blamed Iwao-san for yelling out the wrong numbers.

Vsa129-1

Vsa129-2

Next favourite game of Miura-kun's is Rolling Coin Tower. It's Sakumiya vs. Miura-kun and Erika Toda. In order to catch up on their 100-point gap, all Team arashi had to do was to make sure the tower doesn't fall in their turn. Nino then claimed that they would attack with only 10-point coins, and Erika said that her team would do the same. Of course, when Nino started the game, he did so with three unbalanced 3-point coins, which made the foundation of the tower shaky. Nino is sneaky. :p Unfortunately, his strategy backfired and the tower fell on his turn. Now the gap between the teams is even larger.

The third game chosen by Miura-kun is Dual Curling, with Ohba and Iwao-san playing for Team Arashi. The drama team's players were all in their teens, which really made me think, huh, Arashi have really grown up. (As if I haven't realised this before!) There was a minor conflict in Team Arashi over who would be the starter - Ohno said Iwao-san, and Iwao-san said Ohno, and Aiba said never mind, he would do it, but they asked Takei Emi (one of the other team players) who said she wanted Iwao-san to do it, so he did. Aiba managed to get one of his markers in the 50 point area, but it got knocked out by Iwao-san's marker. Aiba was aiming his x2 marker for the 50 points after that, but it didn't even reach the 10-point area, and when asked to give his excuse, he tried to, but couldn't quite explain and said he'd fax it later (lol). The one-on-one showdown was between Jun and Miura-kun. Jun totally failed, getting 30 points in comparison to Miura-kun's 130 points. It was cute when Jun was trying to find an excuse for his fail - he blamed the stick, so the rest of them asked him to apologise to it, which he refused to do.

Vsa129-3Vsa129-4Vsa129-5Vsa129-6

Dual Curling was followed by Cliff Climb, with Miura-kun and Suda-kun climbing for the drama team. Jun, already in a kind of a sulk over his earlier fail, continued to be bullied by the rest of Team Arashi. Arashi's climbers should be Goto-san and aiba, but because Goto-san was afraid of heights (and everyone else wanted to continue bullying Jun), MatsuJun took over his place. Jun did well, but fell off after hitting the 50-point button and didn't get the perfect score he was aiming for. The rest of the team stood up before him and asked if he was going to blame the grip this time. He apologised again for his Dual Curling excuse.

Vsa129-7Vsa129-8

Haruma Miura's favourite game is the last for this episode - Bound Hockey. Arashi was behind by 280 points, and needed to get 300 points in order to win. Jun was feeling a lot of pressure (especially since if they lost, he probably knew he was going to be the MDa) and Ohno stood by him, saying that Jun doesn't have to worry, because he would be Jun's guardian angel. *ah, be still, my Juntoshi-loving heart* In the end, Arashi did very well, but they only managed to get 200 points, so the drama team won.

Vsa129-9

When the MDA started, Jun already knew it was going to be him, and was really fidgety. He chose himself too, together with the rest of them. I love this guy. <3

Vs. Arashi! #138

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Aired on: May 26th, 2011

Usually I don't watch the newer episodes as much, but I couldn't resist this episode. Not only the guest team were the Paradise Kiss film cast, the Plus One was Haruna Ai ♥. Even before the guests appeared, though, one of the best moments in this episodes appeared - Nino was wearing a simple looking jacket, which Aiba commented on, saying that it was too normal for Nino (who, admittedly, has been given a lot of embarrassingly garish outfits throughout this show) and said that they ought to exchange their jackets. Nino protested lightly at first, but gave in in the end. That's not all - Aiba's tee read the words "carnival", causing Sho to call him Carnival throughout the episode. ^^

Vsa138-1 Vsa138-2
Aimiya exchanging their jackets | Haruna Ai getting excited to see Osamu Mukai.

The first game was Cliff Climb, with Sakumoto representing Team Arashi. I really liked how Sho quoted my favourite (and everyone else's, haha) line from ParaKiss, and the exchange he had with aiba before they started. aiba asked him to take his shoes off, which he did, but then he was told that he had to put them back on before climbing XD. Both Sho and Jun failed completely in this game. Next is Dual Curling, with Nino, Haruna Ai, and Ohno representing arashi. They lost in this game, too, although it was an impressive match. Nino had a showdown with Osamu Mukai, and before they started Haruna danced to "Shoujo Jidai" for them, which was really cute.

Vsa138-3 Vsa138-4
Sho quoting ParaKiss | "Please wait while Sakurai-kun puts on his shoes..." XD

The third game was Kicking Sniper, where Nino mentioned that they were losing and that neither Jun nor Ohno seemed motivated. Aiba joined him and the two of them said that if they didn't do well, they'd have to do the Shoujo Jidai dance. This certainly brought out their motivation, as they managed to catch up to their gap in points in this game. Jun even got a perfect score (he really didn't want to do the Shoujo Jidai dance), but then Aimiya decided that he had to do it because he got a perfect. I love it when Aimiya bullies Jun XD. Jun decided that they should janken for it, and in the end it was Ohno and Nino that had to do the Shoujo Jidai dance with Haruna. Since he was safe, Jun went back to his DoS mode and enjoyed their embarrassment. Unfortunately, when the ParaKiss Team played, they immediately went back in the lead. Osamu Mukai was really good!

Vsa138-7Vsa138-8
Jun forgot to press a button | Sakumoto being scolded

Vsa138-5Vsa138-6
Jun being bullied by Aimiya | Ohmiya + Haruna Shoujo Jidai Dance

Because of all the Shoujo Jidai performances, there weren't enough time, and one of the games had to be cancelled. They skipped Pinball Runner and went to Bound Hockey as the last game. The ParaKiss didn't seem to be able to play this well at first, but they got the hang of it soon enough. Team Arashi had to get 400 points to catch up and win. They played well, but ended up with 50 points behind their goal, and lost.

Thankfully for the Arashi members, they agreed on the MDA early on - it ended up being Haruna Ai, who did the Shoujo Jidai dance one last time before falling.

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #032

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

Aired On: May 14th, 2007

This episode begins with Arashi slamming the guest box against the stage. Then they revealed that the guests are comedy duo Drunk Dragon - Tsukaji Muga and Suzuki Taku. Because Tsukaji likes shrimp, they requested for delicious and rare shrimp dishes as their homework for the audience. Aiba did the introductions, and first presented a salt-grilled lobster, which is a whole spiny lobster marinated in salt and meringue. The next dish was sakura shrimp, to be eaten fresh. Uhm. Well. All I can say is, this segment really didn't make me think that I could suddenly like seafood. These shrimp are called "sakura shrimp" because they were caught during April-May, when the sakura are supposed to bloom. Next is a soft cream mixed with spiny lobster, which surprisingly was enjoyed by Drunk Dragon. Finally, Aiba introduces his own recipes, including shrimp hot dog and choco-shrimp. Needless to say, they were kind of weird. :p They didn't like the hot dog, but seemed to love the choco-shrimp.

Ans32-1

In the following segment, Tsukaji talked about things he didn't like about Suzuki, the first of which Tsukaji didn't like Suzuki's impromptu changes in their routines. When they talked about the audience's image of them, it was said that Suzuki had the image of someone who'd be extorted for money, so he revealed that he's strong. He then made a demonstration with Aiba pretending to be a thug. He did pretty well when Aiba went for him without without weapons, but when they tried a demonstration where Aiba used a weapon, Suzuki didn't manage to fight Aiba off. Ohno took over Aiba's place, and the same happened. So Suzuki declared that there's no way he could win if his opponent has a weapon. All in all, a pretty amusing episode!

Himitsu no Arashi-chan #126

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Aired On: April 14th, 2011

I know that not everybody is happy with the VIP Limousine, since not all of the members are in the episodes now. This isn't really a deterrent for me; sure, it's fun to see all of the members together, but I enjoyed their older shows (like Mago Mago Arashi) where they paired up for different assignments. And, I guess part of it is also because even though I have a Sho-bias, I love Arashi for being Arashi - that is, I like all of the members and so wouldn't boycott particular episodes just because my bias isn't in it. I suppose it's different for everyone? Anyway, this episode is Sakumiya, so I do get to see Sho-kun. (^_^) The guest this time is model/actress Takei Emi, who gets to go with Sho and Nino on a Korean date.

They first take her to a Korean grocery store in Shin-Okubo. I'm not sure if they underestimated the fangirls or what, because the place was swarming with them. (Hey, isn't that another fun thing about the VIP Limousine? Stalking them? Haha) Anyway, they tried some sort of Korean melon, which was hard and not too sweet. Sounds like my kind of fruit! Then they took her to a cafe where a lot of ikemen Koreans worked. She seemed to enjoy herself a lot here, but so did Sho and Nino. They introduced three ikemen, and, er, Sho, and she had to choose the one closest to her idea of an ikemen (which she had drawn out earlier). Unsurprisingly, Sho lost. ^^;; Throughout this they talked about her 10 VIP points, which are basically just trivia about her - one of which stated she wanted to go on a date in school uniform. So Sakumiya indulged her, of course. In school uniforms, they headed to a Korean fortune teller. Takei-san had always wanted to be married at 23, but the fortune teller said that she won't. Finally, they take her out for yakiniku, which she loves.

The theater part, I didn't really enjoy as much as the VIP Limousine, but I guess Sho's proposal was funny. If anyone tried that on me I'd have laughed and laughed and laughed at them. *not very romantic* Nino's, on the hand, was really cute. And very creepy. Ahaha.

Hna126-1Maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there, but I can't help but think that Sakumiya seemed to be leaning away from her.

Hna126-2Of course, filming outdoors come with challenges... wonder if they anticipated this crowd.

Hna126-3Which is the most ikemen of them all?

Hna126-4In school uniform. Wish that Nino's wearing a gakuran too.

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #010

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Aired On: December 4th, 2006

The guest in this episode is Sugita Kaoru, who've worked with Arashi on 24hr TV before. Jun had cried during that time, and she said that her opinion of him became more favourable after that. Her homework to Arashi/the audience is to research on various foods that uses collagen (according to my sister it doesn't really work, but from what I've seen in variety shows Japanese women really love food with collagen?). Aiba became the presenter, while he and Sho went around testing food with three women. There was a really funny scene when Aiba smeared collagen sashimi over one of the women's faces, lol.

During the image section of the show, like in the previous couple of episodes, the conversation gets interesting. Sugita-san admitted to having a bad image, and said that she was called the King of Love Hotels when she was younger. This led to them talking about love hotels, and when Ohno seemed a little too interested, Nino joked that he (Ohno) was aiming to be the 2nd generation King of Love Hotels. ^^ Ogura-san asked Sugita-san to give advice to Arashi as a veteran and older woman, and she said that she hoped they don't get trapped by a bad woman. She even gave advice on romance, Sugita Kaoru Style - catch their attention with your eyes, attack when they're weak, and aim for people who seem like they've broken down. In order words, the timing has to be perfect? XP

In the experiments corner (or, like Shi-chan says, the continuation of A no Arashi), Sho and Aiba try to find out if it would be faster to travel on ice by foot or by bicycle. They were supposed to complete one lap on a skating rink, with Sho walking on foot and Aiba riding a bicycle. Aiba kept falling down, so Sho won the race. Conclusion: please walk over ice instead of riding bicycles.

This is another one of those episodes that I can't play on my Mac, so there're no screen caps. :/

Aired On: November 27th, 2006

Maybe I was spoiled by the previous two episodes, but this ep didn't stand out as much. I'm not sure if this ep is the start of them not going on field trips for their investigation reports, or if it's just that they didn't do it in this episode, since the guest's (Yasu Megumi) request was for them to find out different ways to serve natto. Maybe it's the subject matter that made this less interesting than the last two episodes, since I really am not too keen on the idea of natto, haha. Anyway, even though it's not a memorable episode, it was still funny and good to watch.

I love the experiment at the end where Ohno makes those - uhm, I'm not sure what they're called, the subs said "interior decorating colliding balls" (one bad thing about me is that if an ep has subs, I stop listening and just read the words - even if I'm watching an English show. I read everything that can be read, but am a bad listener.) Anyway, back to the topic... Ohno makes those, er, "interior decorating colliding balls", and they experiment on how many balls they could add before it stops working. They reached up til a hundred balls when Ohno announced that he only made up to that much. Anyway, technically if made with the right kind of balls it could have an indefinite number of balls and still work, but Ohno's should work til up to 200 balls. I find these experiments a little on the bizarre side (who would think of researching the kind of stuff they did?) but a lot more fun than some of the interview/eating parts.

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #008

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Aired On: November 20th, 2006

I swear, this particular episode had me LOL-ing like crazy. It just gets better and better. I can't take any screencaps for this ep, unfortunately, because I can't play it on my computer (but can play it on my DVD player, so I watched it there instead). The guest is actress Muroi Shigeru, and her homework for Arashi is for them to find out about underground places and shelters, etc. I've always found shelters interesting (okay, I find way too many things interesting so it doesn't really count) and the idea of underground temples/churches is just so cool - plus the temple talked about in this show is by Tadao Ando (♥!).

Usually I'm not really interested in the image part of Shukudai-kun, but the conversation following this particular episode's image submissions is just too precious. While talking about growing spurts during puberty, Nino claimed that there were times when he would suddenly feel pain when he was out with friends, and when they asked what was wrong, he'd say "I'm just growing." (>_<) And then everyone (especially Aiba) started asking Muroi-san about girl's puberty and asking questions like "do breasts grow together at the same time?" (what, instead of growing one by one?) and other silly stuff that had me rolling on the floor laughing. *wipes tears* I swear, this particular conversation reminds me of K because we've actually had this conversation before, which only made me laugh even more while watching this episode.

For the experiments corner, they try to find out if paper would be soaked in different speeds if dipped in different types of liquid. Conclusion: paper dipped in hot water gets soaked quicker than that soaked in normal water, soda water, milk, or oil. See, who says that television doesn't teach you anything? Haha.

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #007

Aired On: November 13th, 2006

Before I realise it, this show is becoming more and more entertaining. (^_^) The guest in this episode is actress Matsui Kazuyo, whose homework for Arashi is for them to find vegetables that are good for you. When asked what this meant exactly (aren't all vegetables supposed to be good for you?) she explained that she meant vegetables that are grown with love, and without the use of chemicals. The first two places Nino introduced, she already knew about, which was funny. She seems quite fussy when it comes to her vegetables, but judging from the reaction of Arashi when they tried "normal" vegetables and "good" vegetables, I guess there is a difference in taste? Well, I remember the first time I ate strawberries in Japan; I had the distinct impression that I was eating "real" strawberries and that the ones I had in Malaysia only looked like strawberries but didn't taste like them at all. Maybe it's something like that?

In the weird experiments corner, they divide into two teams (Arashi vs. Matsui Kazuyo + Ogura-san) and stacked different kinds of tofu on top of each other in order to see which kind could be stacked higher. Arashi were on the silk tofu team, while Matsui Kazuyo & Ogura-san were on the cotton tofu team. I think it's pretty obvious from the start that the cotton tofu would win? :p

Episode 6! Only 172 episodes to go, hahaha...

The guest in this ep is actress/singer Suzuki Sarina, whom I really loved in Kimi wa Petto. Of course, she had played Koyuki's rational best friend and I liked that, so I was surprised to find out that she has this image of being a little on the idiotic side. Since she's known for not being bad at maths, Arashi lets her show her intellectual side, and she impresses them with her English.

Instead of doing the food experiments, in this episode the binocular-glasses return - this time they roped Ogura-san along and they tried playing kickball wearing the glasses. Hilarity ensues, as usual XP

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #005

It's time for another episode of Shukudai-kun! By the way, even though I'm posting these episode re-watch entries in a row, actually I watched them during the weekend of my Raya holidays, but need to hold my posts until I'm back home and could take screencaps. :/

The guest is singer Wada Akiko. I seem to remember seeing her in a lot of variety shows when I was in Japan, although I don't know if it's really true or it's just the impression I get, since she's a memorable sort of person. Her homework for Arashi is for them to find different ways to serve blowfish, which Sho and Aiba investigates. I have to say that despite my dislike for seafood, I wouldn't mind trying any of the food introduced in this episode because they look like they taste good. All in all, this has been a fun episode to watch (^_^)

Liquid nitrogen makes its first appearance in Shukudai-kun in this ep XD
